St Andrew's Fun and Trail Run

Chedworth Fun Run and 5km Trail Run 2019 is CANCELLED

Dear Parents,

Given the weather forecast has now worsened for tomorrow morning and a yellow weather warning issued by the met office, we have had to take the decision to cancel both the fun run and the 5km trail run.

We will look into the feasibility of running it on a later date and let you know.

Thank you to you all for volunteering to give up your time and to all those that were going to participate - we are very disappointed to have had to cancel it.

Any questions please give me a call or drop me an email.

Thank you all for your support!

The Chedworth Annual Fun Run was the best yet with around 100 runners taking part in both The Fun Run and the new 5km trail Cross Country Trail.

Matt Shone, GB athlete, led the field of Fun Runners around the 2.5km undulating course. The Fun Run was won overall by Kiya Dee (age 12), of Bourton Roadrunners, in a very good time of 10 mins 53 secs. The first boy was Michael Astor (8yrs) also of Bourton Roadrunners in a time of 11 mins 13 secs.  There were Prizes for each age group winner and Medals for all finishers.

Over 30 runners participated in the new 5km trail route which was multi terrain and included some challenging hills.  Matt Shone came in first with a time of time of 18mins 14 secs.  Some younger runners also took on the 5km and achieved quite impressive times.
