Jennifer Glass
Jennifer is the Chair of Governors, she is the mother of 3 children, all of whom have attended St. Andrews School before moving on to local Grammar schools. Jennifer read law at Queen Mary College, London University and was a finance lawyer in the City of London for 15 years before moving to Chedworth in 2007. Jennifer enjoys taking part in many sports and is keen to encourage participation by children and families in sporting activities at all levels.

Mrs Anne Baxter
Foundation Governor: Appointed by Chedworth PCC.
Anne has 3 children, all of whom previously attended St Andrews. Anne has worked as a farm secretary for more than 25 years, currently for her husband's local farming business. From this line of work and previous positions as treasurer/bookkeeper to the local pre-school and a couple of charities in Hampshire, she has an in depth knowledge of accounts.

Foundation Governor
Katy has spent over 25 years in Human Resources, in financial services and professional services businesses where her greatest sense of satisfaction has been in seeing the development of the people in those businesses. In becoming a governor she is keen to provide support to ensure that the children at St Andrew's are able to develop to the best of their abilities.

Mr Edmund Penning-Rowsell
Foundation Governor
Edmund is a Professor of Geography and has worked in education all his life. He was Dean of Social Science and Education at Middlesex University, visiting primary schools in north London. He now works as a consultant to the World Bank. Edmund has been active locally in the renewal of the Village Hall in Coln Rogers, raising funds and helping to manage the new Hall

Welcome to our Governors' section.
The Governing Body has three core functions:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff; and
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent, including the pupil premium.
As per our Instrument of Government our Governing Body is made up of 12 individuals: 2 parent governors; 1 Local Authority (LA) Governor (nominated by the LA but appointed by the governing body); 1 staff governor; the Head Teacher and 7 Foundation governors , some of which are also parents.
Foundation governors are appointed by Gloucester Diocesan Board of Education after consultation with the PCCs of Chedworth and Yanworth. These will number 6 and 1 respectively.
