Pre-school Welcome 

Welcome to Pre-school a governor led setting, part of St Andrew's C of E Primary School.

Our aim is to provide high quality care and educational facilities for all preschool children within an environment that encourages the development of the child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills. We believe strongly that the children we care for should be confident, competent and happy individuals. To achieve this we provide an environment that will interest each child and excite them! Using a wide range of equipment and resources, including experienced staff; we implement the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) supporting the children and encourage them to move forward in their learning whilst they are busy playing. We take time and attention to make sure that all the children feel welcome, confident with both children and staff along with feeling safe and secure whilst they are within our environment. We spend time with each child individually, letting them take the lead in their learning, we encourage them to excel, and support their play through both interaction and language. 

The curriculum at St Andrew's C of E starts in our EYFS department and places emphasis and importance on communication, interaction and pre-reading- all vital building blocks for the children's future success.
